Our Mission
We create an empathic, heart-centered consciousness in the world community to restore the joy of our essential connectedness. Toward that end, we provide a support system and education for couples to create ever-widening circles of Imago relationships.
How ICI Got Started
In October, 2003, Harville Hendrix and Helen Hunt put out an open invitation for couples whose lives had been changed by Imago to come to their ranch in New Mexico. There, amidst the yellow leaves and magic mesas of an Abiquiu autumn, we envisioned a way to address the needs of couples throughout the world who are practicing Imago but need more support. Together, we planted the seeds for a non-profit organization and networking community to help couples connect with other couples, groups and Imago counselors, share resources, and learn from each other on our path to healing.
Although the small group of couples who originally met are the founding members, you are the lifeblood of our organization and the continuation of the dream! Please get to know us by reading our couple stories, sending us your own stories, and joining ICI to continue our important work in healing the world, one couple at a time!
